We would like to start off by giving our continued gratitude to the NHS and all key workers, who have been instrumental helping the community fight this pandemic COVID19, they have our full support going forward.
After the success of 2019s Uplift Weekender we would like to thank all of those involved who made this event possible, we feel our goal of sending out a positive anti-racism message to our local community and beyond was a massive success and an event enjoyed by all who attended.
We had been planning 2020’s Uplift Weekender and the team did take the decision to focus this year’s event on Environmental issues within our community and beyond.
Unfortunately due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus (Covid 19) we have taken the difficult decision to reschedule ‘Uplift Weekender’ 2020 until 2021. Coventry will be celebrating becoming City of Culture, So look out for Uplift Weekender’s return in 2021. Uplift Weekender 2021 will be helping to highlight ‘Climate Change’.
The idea behind the event is to bring together artist, musicians, professionals and organisations that stand together to declare a climate and ecological emergency; in addition to a call for a collective world response to protect all life on Earth. We believe music is one of the tools that will promote the cultural change needed to create a better future for us all.
